Xander Demos

Xander Demos didn’t pick up a guitar until the age of 13, but in the years since, he has grown into one of the most talented and versatile guitarists in the world, a virtuoso whose playing style ranges from the beautifully melodic to the jaw-droppingly insane.

Since early 2011, Xander has been performing with The Xander Demos band, a collection of four exceptional musicians backing up Xander’s guitar pyrotechnics. The group has toured with the likes of Neil Zaza, Buckethead, Kip Winger and UFO and released a critically acclaimed album, Guitarcadia, in 2012.

In addition, Xander recently joined forces with acclaimed thrash-metal vocalist James Rivera on a new East Coast chapter of his Sabbath Judas Sabbath tribute band, which has chapters around the world. The East Coast chapter has Xander sharing lead guitar duties with fellow Pittsburgh natives Bill Staley (formerly of Creature of Habit), Greg Bittner (also formerly of Creature of Habit) on bass and fellow XDB bandmate Jeff Anzelone on drums.

Houston Adult Film Star

In the late 1990s, Kim Halsey — better known as Houston — was one of the biggest stars in the adult entertainment universe. Born in Long Beach, California, Houston moved frequently as a child, as she, her twin brother and her mother traveled across the country to be near her Army Officer father in Virginia and, after her parents divorced, settled in the Los Angeles area. After starting out as an exotic dancer and transitioning into adult films in 1995, Houston rose to fame with her appearances on The Howard Stern Show and her 1999 film, World’s Biggest Gangbang 3: Houston 620, in which she shattered the previous world record by having sex with 620 men in one day.

In 2004, Houston was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame, after which she moved to Las Vegas, where she obtained her Real Estate license and retired from porn. In 2008, she was diagnosed with stage three melanoma. After enduring surgery and chemotherapy, the blonde bombshell is now cancer-free.

Bryan Tamayo

April 30, 2014

Until recently, bartender Bryan Tamayo worked at Ox Restaurant —  the Oregonian’s 2013 “Restaurant of the Year” — and Whey Bar — Playboy Magazine’s 2013 “Best Waiting Room” — in Portland, Oregon. But Tamayo decided that it was time for a change, and starting in May of 2014, visitors to Comme Ça Restaurant in the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas will be able to experience Tamayo’s remarkably creative cocktails for themselves.

Tamayo has a passion for spirits and consistently strives to learn more and push himself to the next level. Check out Bryan’s Facebook page for more information.

What inspired your move to Las Vegas?

I was looking to learn more about the industry. I know that Las Vegas has a budding cocktail culture and I would really like to be apart of that. It’s interesting how Las Vegas is surrounded by liquor but only recently has it had a focus on the craft of bartending.
